Wednesday Happenings is a church ministry open to all members of the church and the community. It provides a time for learning, fellowship and sharing. Three sessions are held each year.

Invitation to Genesis
This study takes groups into the rich tapestry of Genesis exploring the interaction between God and very human people - pride, family relationships, conflict and journey all showcase the best known stories of Creation, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Rebekah and Joseph.
The video reflects the drama of the Genesis stories, first with selected text dramatized by an actor, and then study writer, Peter Enns interviews a scholar to help unpack the meaning and the mystery in the stories.

Fireproof Your Marriage
Relationships are wonderful gifts given to us by God. As we read in the Bible, the most-intimate relationship is marriage between a husband and a wife. Unfortunately, relationships today are under more cultural and interpersonal pressure and stress than ever before in our history.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. Together, we can make a long-term difference for healthy relationships and marriages.
This Bible study integrates Scripture, discussion, and devotionals and includes video clips from the movie, Fireproof.

Developing Intimacy with God
It is customary for pastors to urge their congregations to spend time with God in prayer. They know that this is of paramount importance, the one thing needful. But instructions given by pastors usually have to do with prayer for others or prayer for oneself. Rarely does one hear instruction on how, specifically, one can nurture and deepen one’s relationship with Jesus. This is the challenge that Alex Aronis has taken up in his book, Developing Intimacy with God.
Anchored on the spiritual classic The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, Alex has made the necessary adjustments to this sixteenth century text to maximize its contribution for modern readers. Thus, the book serves as a personal spiritual guide. It coaches prayer through a series of interactive prayer exercises.

Evelyn May's Craft Corner
Evelyn May will share her craft talents in this class. Come and learn how to turn a sock into an adorable monkey. The class will be fun and provide fellowship for the participants. This class is limited to 12 participants.

A Study of David
In Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David, three women explore their lives and the life of David. The study focuses on the life of David in three stages of his life: as a young man (by Priscilla Shirer), as a middle-aged man (by Beth Moore), and as a man facing the final third of his life (by Kay Arthur).

Through the Bible: Romans
Through the Bible courses have been a mainstay of Wednesday Happenings for many years. Find out what makes them so popular and enrich your spiritual walk. This group will begin the study of Romans. All you need is your Bible and a willingness to learn and discuss.

Children's Classes
Kid’s Praise Choir meets at 6pm. Classes meet at 6:30pm.
3 years through 3rd grade will be using God Rocks! Bible Toons. The current session will be “Build Each Other Up".
BibleToons are engaging Scripture songs that kids can sing and love. Each BibleToons song is also an animated video—so kids can hear, see, sing, and learn the Word.
God Rocks! curriculum is designed to help provide verse-supported activities and children’s ministry programming.
4th, 5th, and 6th grade will be using the Live It! curriculum.
Live It! is a tween resource designed to help tweens face today’s issues with a real understanding of how their faith impacts their lives every day. Live It! will help tweens develop meaningful relationships with family, friends, and most importantly, Jesus Christ. It will also help them develop the skills they need to make godly decisions in today’s world.
The current session will be
“Talking with God”.
Youth Classes
The youth will continue their study Through the Bible in 52 Weeks led by Jason Huffman.
Each successive week is a powerful new story from the Bible going in chronological order from the Genesis creation account and ending with the new church in the book of Acts. This helps us put the pieces of the Bible together and see how the hand of God has led his people and in turn helps us understand how he is leading us now.
